It does not appear that Brandi Passante is a smoker. Although she was spotted with a pack of Marlboro Lights at her desk in an episode of Storage Wars, those are presumed to belong to her long-time boyfriend, Jarrod Schulz.
On her Twitter account she mentions that Jarrod is quitting smoking and she asked if any of her followers were ex-smokers so that they could give him some advice.

There's no published information on how Tyler "Flip" Gene Priddy died, but we can tell you that he passed away at the age of 31 on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Some sources say he committed suicide because he was struggling with depression, however, there is no strong evidence for that.
Tyler was an employee for Warren Caterpillar for 10 years and worked as the parts warehouse manager up until his death. His passion was drag racing; starting with a Mustang, then an El Camino.
