Melody Thomas Scott (born Melody Ann Thomas on April 18, 1956 in Los Angeles, California), who plays Nikki Newman on The Young and the Restless, credits her 30 pound weight loss to Sunfare. Sunfare is a diet program where nutritious, custom made meals are brought daily to your door around 3:00am.
She's quoted as saying "The food is very fresh, healthy and you don't have to think about it." She went on to elaborate that not having to go out and buy the food, prepare it, or think about it in any way is what made it so perfect for her. She even says that "a lot of people at CBS are doing it."
Of interest, Scott's character Nikki Newman was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Fans need not worry about Newman dying due to an ending contract. Scott says she's not going anywhere soon and that the latest story only serves to educate people about MS being "controllable with the proper treatment."
