The History Channel’s Pawn Stars is a reality series. Some staging of the show takes place, but the customers you see on camera as well as the items brought to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada are real. A production crew is responsible for editing the negotiations that take place between customers and the Harrisons. Someone who brings an item of great interest, for example a Stradivarius violin, might be asked to return at a later time so that the crew can properly film the interaction. Car flipper Danny “The Count” Koker, regularly seen on Pawn Stars recently nabbed his own show on the History Channel. Counting Cars premiered on August 14, 2012 at 10/9c. An estimated 3,000 to 5,000 customers visit the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop daily. Catch new episodes of Pawn Stars on Mondays at 10/9c.
